What types of leases are available?
The Avenue at Southern offers 12 month leases beginning each August. If you are looking for something after August, you may move in at any time based on availability. All leases for each term end in July.
Can I use my financial aid?
You are more than welcome to use your financial aid. However, rent will always be due at the first of the month and late on the 3rd. At the beginning of each semester we have a handful of residents who are waiting on the payment of their financial aid to pay rent. We ask these residents to provide a landlord letter from the financial aid office. While this will hold off on any eviction proceedings, you will still be responsible for any late fees that accrue during this time period.
What types of apartments/rooms are available?
We offer both furnished and unfurnished units in the following floor plans: 2 Bedroom, 2 Bath Flat 2 Bedroom, 2.5 Bath Townhouse 3 Bedroom, 2 Bath Townhouse 4 Bedroom, 2 Bath Flat
Is parking available?
At The Avenue at Southern, there is plenty of parking. We do not assign spots or assign guest spots. We are confident that parking should not be an issue.
How close to campus are you?
GSU students choose The Avenue at Southern time and again for the short walking distance to campus. The Avenue at Southern is a short quarter mile from campus!
If I am over 21, do I need to have a guarantor?
All residents of The Avenue at Southern are required to have a guarantor. If no guarantor can be secured, The Avenue at Southern requires a deposit down equal to three months rent.
What utilities are included in my rent?
The Avenue at Southern is ALL INCLUSIVE! Everything, including water, electricity, cable with HBO, and wireless internet, are included! The electricity is subject to a maximum of $45 per bedroom.
Can I pay my bill with a credit card? Is there an extra charge?
Great News! The Avenue at Southern added a new feature that lets you pay online! View your balance, submit electronic checks, or pay with a Visa, MasterCard, or Discover from any computer. Just log on to our website, click the "Pay Rent" link. This will take you to our resident rent pay portal. There is a small convenience charge for this service.
When can I move in?
Our Move-In day for 2011 is August 12th at noon! However, you are able to move in most any day during the year - just ask!
Can I request an apartment or roommates?
Yes, you may always request certain apartments, locations or roommates. We will be glad to accommodate any roommate requests. Location and apartment requests will be handled on a first come, first serve basis and cannot be guaranteed.
When is my first payment due?
July 15, 2010.
What size are the beds?
All furnished units have full size extra long beds.
